I wanted to create an Image which looks very cold, so I came up with the idea of a woman almost frosted in Ice. The idea behind it was to make an effekt that the ice on her is melting already a bit and she becomes alive again. This image took me about two weeks of non stop work for me and my pc, because the ice materials had huge render times with its glossy refractions. Rendered in dozens of Layers, composed in Photoshop at the end. Ice, character and environment rendered with Vray, hair rendered in Mental Ray.
